OBSERVATION OF “LEGAL SERVICES DAY”

LEGAL SERVICES DAY

9^th November 2021

On the occasion of “Legal Services Day” 9^th November 2021, Kokrajhar Law College organised a “Legal Aid Camp” in collaboration with DLSA, Kokrajhar and Nayek Gaon Anchalik Committee, ABSU at village-Dabwrgaon, under Kokrajhar Police Station.

In the beginning the guests were introduced by Sri Dipankar Choudhury, staff of DLSA, and inaugurated by Suresh Basumatary, Principal i/c, KLC. In his speech Suresh Basumatary explained about the aims and motto of the Legal Literacy camp – “Be Aware, take information and should think you are not Alone”.

Mr. Boloram Kshetri, Secretary, DLSA, Kokrajhar delivered speech on “Awarding victim compensation scheme by DLSA and NALSA.”

Dr. P.K. Aditya, Asst. Professor emphasised on “Various legal and statutory right” assisted under DLSA”.

Mirzabul Hoque, Sansuma Basumatary and Ranjita Brahma, 2^nd Semester, presented on POCSO Act, and Child Marriage. Meherruddin Ahmed and Bimola Basumatary, 4^th semester students presented awareness on “Domestic Violence”.

 And lastly, Bharjin Brahma and Dwithun Brahma Choudhury, 4^th Semester spread awareness on “Maintenance”.

Vote of thanks was offered by the Sri Phailao Basumatary, General Secretary of Nayek Gaon Anchalik Committee ABSU.
